Pulse started their 2023 Southern Hills Netball Association (SHNA) season well with a 44-26 win against Clarendon during round one action. The win to Pulse reversed last season’s result when Clarendon defeated Pulse to win the 2022 Grand Final. In other games, newly promoted Port Noarlunga had a thrilling 30-29 victory against McLaren Flat, Kangarilla also had a one-goal victory. 44-43, against Noarlunga, while Southern Stars beat Seaford Storm 52-47.
