Pulse wrap up minor premiership

Southern Hills Netball Association - Round 14

Pulse Netball Club have wrapped up the minor premiership with a 43-25 win at a cold and wet Meadows. Pulse got off to a good start and were applying full court pressure and providing extra options at the ball in the wet and slippery conditions.  Meadows hung tough and were looking to play long balls into the front third but Pulse forced turnovers and strung together some great passages of play, moving the ball swiftly through the mid court and into the goal circle. Despite the loss, Meadows have secured their spot in the finals and will tune up with a game against fellow finals aspirant Clarendon in the final round.

McLaren Flat caused a major boilover by knocking off second placed Aldinga 44-29 at home. It was just the second win of the season for McLaren Flat and it leaves Aldinga needing to beat top side Pulse in the last round to guarantee second spot at the end of the minor round.

Clarendon had a comfortable 53-30 victory over bottom side Kangarilla at home. The win puts the reigning premier just one game behind second placed Aldinga in the hunt for the all important double chance at season’s end.
