Police are investigation after a stolen car was pursued through the southern suburbs early this morning.

About 1.15am on Saturday 21 January, police were travelling on Flaxmill Road at Christie Downs when they spotted a grey sedan travelling south on Amadeus Crescent.

Checks on the car revealed the Hyundai grey i45 sedan with registration S925BVY had been stolen a short time earlier from a Hallett Cove address.

Southern District patrols caught up to the vehicle as it was being driven east on Flaxmill Road.  Police followed the car and attempted to stop it on Copernicus Road however it failed to stop.

The vehicle continued onto Brodie Road at Morphett Vale and then onto O’Sullivan Beach Road.  Police saw the car in the distance being driven on the wrong side of the road as it turned to head south on Main South Road.

The pursuit was terminated for safety reasons as the stolen car was seen to head west on Flaxmill Road.
