Aldinga library will host a special event for South Australia's History Festival that marks the 76th anniversary of VE Day – victory in Europe in WWII.


Author Peter Monteath and podcaster Megan Spencer will lead a conversation about war and remembrance in celebration of History Month.


It will take place next Saturday 8 May from 10.30am to 12noon.


Peter Monteath is the author of Battle on 42nd Street: War in Crete and the Anzacs' bloody last stand and Megan Spencer makes a podcast called From A Whisper to A Bang!


They will share their thoughts on war and remembrance, with an emphasis on the Crete campaign; the most modern and most ancient of wars. 


Battle on 42nd Street will be available to purchase at the event with Peter present for a book signing afterwards.


Aldinga Library is at 11 Central Way, Aldinga Beach. Register to attend via Eventbrite.
