Quarterly Collective features Fleurieu writers

The Victor Harbor library will host its rescheduled quarterly writers collective on Thursday 13 October.

Featuring three very different self-published Fleurieu authors, this event was originally due to take place in June.

John Weeks will talk about his book Living Without Fingerprints; A Point in Time.

The Fleurieu app’s own Susie Williams will introduce Rural Business Women; Inspiration and advice to grow your business from regional Australia.

Christine Sinclair will discuss how to self-publish on a shoe string budget and will launch her new book As Above So Below; Understanding Feng Shui.

Each author will present their works for 20 minutes followed by a 10 minute Q&A.

Living Without Fingerprints is a photo biographical memoir of how life changed for John Weeks when a petrol explosion resulted in near fatal burns to seventy-five percent of his body.

John hopes that his story will give optimism and new direction to anyone impacted by trauma.

Rural Business Women aims to inspire and offer advice to women who are thinking of, or have already started, a business from a rural, regional or remote area of Australia.

Susie Williams wants to encourage and support other rural businesswomen by giving tips and guidance on resilience and reinventing yourself in a changing world.

Grandmother Christine has self-published six books for children, each sharing a slice of life on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

She writes to challenge herself and now that she has found her true identity, she would like to support others in finding theirs.

This free event will start at 5.30pm; register to attend via Eventbrite.
