The bad weather on Saturday played havoc with round 3 of the Alexandra & Eastern Hills Cricket Association (AHCA) with no results able to be achieved.
The game at Langhorne Creek went the longest, with play called off after 13 overs of the second innings. Earlier, Lobethal had batted first with Matt Martin top scoring with 55 (52 balls), while Matthew Weeks (34), Sam Graeber (24) and Sam Martin (21) helped Lobethal to a total of 192 before being bowled out in the 44th over. Six Langhorne Creek bowlers took wickets with Daniel Evans (4/33) and Adam Clements (2/20) leading the way. Langhorne Creek had reached 1/54 (13 overs) before play was abandoned for the day. Brodie O’Dea top scored with 23 not out, while Wil Strange (1/18) was the wicket taker for Lobethal.
Nairne got themselves into a good position at 2/127 in the 26th over before their game was called off against undefeated Wistow. Thomas Fiebiger (55) and Luke Timmins (54 not out) added 104 runs for the second wicket. Josh Fidler (1/15) and Harrison Burgess (1/39) were the wicket takers for the Echidnas.
Bremer Callington travelled to Hahndorf and reached 9/181 in the 41st over before play was halted. Skipper Nathan Fitzgerald led the way with the bat with 61 not out (104 balls) and he was well supported by Alex Durbidge (42) and Jai McMurtrie (38). Ty Watson (3/21) and Hudson Judd (3/26) were the leading wicket takers for the Magpies.
Strathalbyn hosted Woodside and after being sent in, the Stallions scored 7/177 from their 45 overs. Sam Teakle (48), Steve Schofield (44), Luke Cousins (31) and Matthew Harris (21) led the way with the bat for the Stallions, while Aaron Galvin took 3/37 from his nine-over spell for Woodside.
