Singer-songwriter and author Josh Pyke will read his book Family Tree via live-stream for National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday 25 May.

Aldinga library will host a special listening session to celebrate the event from 10.15am to 11.15am in the children’s library.

People across Australia and New Zealand will be reading the book at the same time all together.

National Simultaneous Storytime is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association. 

Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.

Illustrated by Ronojoy Gosh, Family Tree has been described as, ”a heartfelt celebration of family, community and the seasons of life, to cherish and to share.”

Children attending the Aldinga library session will receive a Family Tree goody pack to take home.
