The City of Victor Harbor Youth Advisory Committee will roll out the red carpet to celebrate the premiere of locally-produced youth film Side Quest.
The free event will be held at the Victa Cinema from 7pm on Thursday, 26 August.
The dynamic youth feature film was created as part of the City of Victor Harbor’s Youth Short Film Workshops, which took place over nine days during the summer school holidays at the Victor Harbor Recreation Centre.
The Youth Short Film Workshops have been running successfully for several years, teaching diverse filmmaking skills, encouraging social activity, and promoting art and creativity for local youth.
During this year’s workshop program, young participants from across Victor Harbor joined experienced film maker Oliver Delvecchio to learn about story boarding, creating, shooting, costume and prop design, and editing.
The red carpet event is an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the work completed by young filmmakers throughout the workshops.
A range of other short youth films will be screened alongside the headline feature film Side Quest.
All are welcome to attend the film premiere, and guests are encouraged to dress accordingly for the red carpet proceedings prior to the screening.
