Western Districts remained undefeated and top-of-the-ladder, after defeating Kingscote by 47 points during round five action in Kingscote yesterday. The game was tight in the first half with Kingscote holding a slender four-point lead at halftime. The second half was one-way traffic, as the reigning premier Saints piled on eight goals to zero to win 13.9 (87) to 5.10 (40). Western Districts skipper Lleyton Hedges led the way up forward with five goals, and he was well supported by Josh Graham and Lloyd Coulson who kicked three goals each. Best players for the Saints included Graham, Damon Weatherspoon, Tate Barrett, Nathan Stock and Wade Tucker. For Kingscote, Lachlan Summers, Zak Edwards, Declan Hardy-Corby, Roland Ah Chee and Jack Grimes were named their sides best players.
Wisanger remained in second spot on the KIFL ladder with a big 126-point win at Parndana. The final scores were Wisanger 24.22 (166) to Parndana 6.4 (40). The Panthers had 12 different goalkickers including Luke Stewart (4) and Khyal Stead (4). Brad Boulton kicked two goals for the Roosters. Best players for Wisanger included Dusty Cross, Brok Viney-Obst, Stewart, Liam Sampson and Jai Turner. Parndana were best served by Trad McMulkin, Boulton and Bailey Mashford.
Dudley United had the bye.
