Reigning premier Wisanger warm up for finals in Kangaroo Island Football

Reigning premier Wisanger warmed up for finals action with a comprehensive 116-point win against Parndana during round 15 action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) yesterday. Wisanger will take on Western Districts next Saturday for the right to play in the Grand Final on September 3. The Panthers led by just eight points at quarter time, before kicking 19 goals to two in the final three quarters to win 24.14 (158) to 6.6 (42). Wisanger had plenty of avenues to goal with Jackson Lockett (5), Luke Shurven (4), Sam Clifford (4) and Nick Berry (4) the leading goalkickers. Zach Trethewey kicked two goals for Parndana. Best players for Wisanger were Luke Shurven, Liam Sampson, Berry, Dusty Cross and Jai Turner. The Roosters best players included Zach Trethewey, Jesse Gaskin and Ethan Trethewey. 


Kingscote won their sixth game of 2022 with a comfortable 70-point win against bottom side Dudley United. The final scores were Kingscote 14.15 (99) to Dudley United 4.5 (29). Zak Siemer kicked four goals in a best-on-ground display for Kingscote and he was well supported by Frank Colman, Paul Green, Jack Grimes and Declan Hardy-Corby. Dylan Bunney kicked two goals for the Eagles, while their best players included Nathan Dickson, Toby Wheaton and Sam Howard.


Western Districts had the bye.
