Restructure for tourism board

August will see not only a new regional tourism manager but a new look board for Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism, with a major restructure underway.

The four Fleurieu councils fund Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism and until now have had board representation.

After a two-year review process, it was decided that from the annual general meeting on 24 August 2021 the board will become a wholly industry-based committee of around nine members.

The four funding councils will retain observer status at board meetings.

Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism is now looking for new board members with experience in marketing, product development and strategic planning.

Ideally, they should have good knowledge of the Fleurieu Peninsula and experience on boards and in governance.

The board meets four times a year with additional special meetings from time to time.

Nominations close 16 July. Further information and nomination forms are available from acting manager Pater Cahalan via email or chair Ros Miller via email.
