Police are investigating a robbery at a Strathalbyn service station last night.

Just after 11.30pm on Monday 18 December a man entered the service station on South Terrace and demanded cash from the console operator stating he had a weapon.

He stole a small quantity of cash and fled the premises.

Thankfully the staff member was not injured.

Patrols were quickly in the area and attended at a Strathalbyn address where they arrested a 27-year-old man.

He has been charged with robbery, he did not apply for bail and will appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court this morning, Tuesday 19 December.
