Roll up for a vaccine and sausage this weekend

SA Health is calling it a ‘Super Walk-In Weekend’.

Others are calling it the ‘Snag and Jab’, with SA Health putting on free sausage sizzles at their COVID-19 clinics this weekend.

All those on the Fleurieu yet to get vaccinated are being encouraged to go along this weekend - no appointment is necessary - to the Noarlunga, Mount Barker and Victor Harbor COVID-19 vaccination hubs.

Health Minister Stephen Wade says the snag and jab approach would allow eligible South Australians to get their first or second Pfizer jabs without having to make an appointment.

The Pfizer vaccine is available to all aged over 12 and the Astra-Zeneca to those over 18.

Children aged between 12 and 15 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Where and when to get jabbed this weekend without an appointment and pick up a free sausage:

Mount Barker, 16 Gawler St - Saturday and Sunday 10am – 3pm

Noarlunga Centre, Community Drive - Saturday and Sunday 9am – 4pm

Victor Harbor, 2 George Main Rd - Saturday and Sunday 10am – 3pm

So far only about 58% of the South Australian population have received both COVID-19 vaccinations.

The State Government has previously said that 80% of the population would need to be “double vaxxed” before state border restrictions could be relaxed.
