Roosters crowing after their first win of the season in the Kangaroo Island Football League

Parndana won their first game of the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) season with a 29-point win over Kingscote at Kingscote on Saturday. The final scores were Parndana 11.7 (73) to Kingscote 6.8 (44). James Davis was a star up forward with five goals for Parndana while Riley Puckridge kicked three majors for Kingscote. Ben Gaskin, Zac Trethewey, Will Stanton, Frank May and Bailey Gaskin were named best for the Roosters.


Dudley United went to the top of the KIFL ladder following their crushing 146-point win against Western Districts at Gosse. The Eagles had a day out as they kicked 23.15 (153) to 1.1 (7). Dudley United had 10 different goalkickers with Nathan Dickson (5), Tjedan McKeown (4), Clayton Willson (3) and Kyron Pepper (3) leading the way. Edward Colley, McKeown, Bradlee Ward, Dickson and Brent Kirby were best for a dominant Dudley United while for the Saints, Henry Riggs, Lachlan Florance and Tim Larcombe were among their best players.
