Roosters crowing in Kangaroo Island Football

Parndana won their second game of the season on Saturday after defeating Kingscote by 35 points during round six action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL). James Davis kicked six goals for the Roosters in a best-on-ground display as Parndana won 13.10 (88) to 7.11 (53). Other good players for Parndana included Jack Sexton, Will Stanton, Bailey Gaskin and Trad McMulkin. Anthony Anderson kicked five goals for Kingscote, while other good players for the Hounds were Zak Siemer, Jordan Connell, Jack Grimes, Billy Goodwin and Rory Lovering. 


Western Districts maintained top spot on the ladder with a thumping 208-point win over Dudley United at Gosse. The final scores were Western Districts 33.18 (216) to Dudley United 1.2 (8). The Saints had 11 goalkickers with Lleyton Hedges kicking 10 majors. Hedges now has 23 goals for the season from five matches. Lloyd Coulson also had a day out with seven goals. Tate Barrett, Hedges, Joel Cross, Jake Nolan and Tye Boyle were named best for Western Districts. Shade Evans kicked the only goal for Dudley United, while Sam McLeay, Zak Keir and Matthew Houchin were among their best players. 


Wisanger had the bye. The competition takes a break this weekend before resuming on Saturday, June 11.
