Roosters win third straight game in the Kangaroo Island Football League

Parndana won their third straight game in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) following a battling 13-point win at home against Kingscote. The win keeps Parndana in third spot on the ladder and level on points with second-placed Dudley United. The final scores were Parndana 8.16 (64) to Kingscote 8.3 (51). Reece Johnston (3) and Nathan Trethewey (2) were the multiple goalkickers for the Roosters while Jake Austin, Anthony Anderson and Rory Lovering all kicked two goals for the Hounds. Brady Hill, Ben Larsson, Bradley May, Jaan Kuchel and Daniel Dunstan were best for Parndana. Charles Schmidt, Shane Docking and Lovering were among Kingscote’s best.


Dudley United maintained second spot on the KIFL ladder after a comfortable 67-point win against Western Districts at Penneshaw. Troyston Corbett kicked six goals and Clayton Willson kicked four as the Eagles won 14.19 (103) to 5.6 (36). Ed Colley continued his excellent season to be named best on ground for Dudley United and he was ably supported by Hugo Sharkey, Callum Willson, Nathan Dickson and Ryan Boers. Western Districts were best served by Cam Florance, Henry Hammat, Travis Hilder, Josh Graham and Tim Buck.
