Rotary Art Show returns

The marquee has been erected and the art works have started to arrive as excitement builds for the 43rd annual Rotary Victor Harbor Art Show.

The show is Australia’s largest outdoor art exhibition with more almost 1,500 paintings on display and for sale.

These include traditional and contemporary paintings, a variety of interesting and unique sculptures and some amazing Indigenous Art Work from as far as the Tiwi Islands.

It will be held on Warland Reserve from Saturday 15 January to Saturday 22 January, but the fun begins with a ticketed preview event on Friday 14 January.

The show then opens to the public daily from 9.30am to 8.30pm. Tickets cost $8 for adults; children under 16 enter free.

This will be a Covid safe event requiring proof of Covid double vaccination.

An array of prizes will be awarded, with total prize money of $34,550. The Victor Harbor Art Prize - Best of Show winner receives $12,500 and the inaugural Indigenous Art Prizes are $5000 and $2000.

Purchased artworks must be collected from the Art Show marquee on Warland Reserve on Sunday 23 January between 9am and 1pm.

Full details may be found on the art show website, including a photo gallery of the art works.
