RSPCA Pets of the week: Harvey & SadieSadie and Harvey are looking for love and their forever homes. Can you help?

Meet the lovable Pets of the Week, looking for forever homes at the RSPCA Lonsdale Shelter.

Harvey and Sadie are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week. These loving animals are waiting to find their perfect family. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Cat of the Week – Harvey

Steel-jaw traps are illegal and cruel, but sadly they still lie in wait for unsuspecting animals. Beautiful Harvey (AID 184308) fell victim to one last month in Semaphore Park.

Luckily, he was rescued in time and the RSPCA vet team was able to save his trapped paw – many animals have to have limbs amputated.

This friendly three-year-old has endeared himself to all his carers at the RSPCA shelter, and now he’s waiting to capture a heart and go to his forever home.

After all he’s been through, Harvey needs a quiet home and an owner who will take things slowly as he adjusts to his new life.

As with all RSPCA animals, this handsome, brave boy is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with parasite prevention.

Dog of the Week – Sadie

RSPCA’s Lonsdale dog-care team has been on a mission to increase both the weight and the confidence of sweet Sadie (AID 175702) since she arrived at the shelter just over three months ago.

This two-year-old kelpie cross was found as an emaciated stray, Now, under a vet-directed feeding plan, she has gained more than five kilos and is looking good! But, like many dogs, she isn’t coping in the shelter environment.

She’s a clever canine who needs lots of exercise and fun things to do throughout the day, and owners who are up for continuing her rewards-based training.

With their expertise on dog behaviour, the RSPCA team will be on hand to help Sadie settle in with her new family.

If you have the time to give Sadie all the love and attention she deserves, she will return it in droves – and flop happily at your feet at the end of every busy, active day.
