Meet the lovable Pets of the Week, looking for forever homes at the RSPCA Lonsdale Shelter.
Rosie and Thatcher are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week. These loving animals are waiting to find their perfect family. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Cat of the Week – Rosie
The cat-care team at RSPCA’s Lonsdale shelter have worked hard to build up confidence in beautiful Rosie (AID 182976), who was very scared when she first arrived at the Lonsdale shelter in March.
Found as a stray, this three-year-old tortoiseshell with striking markings needs a home with people who understand her need for calm and reassurance, allowing her to slowly settle in.
Her RSPCA carers will provide a brochure with information to help you be the patient cat whisperer Rosie needs, and when you apply those skills you will have a delightful, affectionate companion who just needs a bit of space at times – like a lot of us do!

Dog of the Week – Thatcher
Thatcher (AID 183352) arrived at RSPCA’s Lonsdale shelter a couple of months ago after being found wandering the streets in Whyalla.
This three-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier is a sweet, friendly boy who needs a family prepared to continue with his rewards-based training.
He would suit a home with adults and older children, and while he gets along with some dogs, he is best suited to a home without other dogs.
He’s at RSPCA’s Lonsdale shelter, patiently waiting to meet his new family.
