Saints on top in Kangaroo Island Football

Reigning premier Western Districts remained undefeated after defeating Kingscote by 100 points during round two action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) yesterday. The Saints led by 59 points at halftime, before kicking another seven unanswered goals in the second half to win 1.11 (113) to 1.7 (13). Lleyton Hedges kicked five goals for Western Districts, while Riley Puckridge was the sole goalkicker for Kingscote. Best players for Western Districts were Dylan Lockett, Bradley Crabb, Timothy Larcombe, Joshua Graham and Jordan Whittle, while best players for Kingscote included Paul Green, Jordan Connell, Rory Lovering, Puckridge and Frank Colman.


Dudley United won their first game of the season with a convincing 110-point win against Parndana at Penneshaw. After having the bye in week one, Dudley United hit the ground running with Ethan Stoeckel kicking eight goals, while Sam Willson (5), Trae Lovering (3) and Baxter Howard (2) were the other multiple goalkickers for the Eagles. Best players for Dudley United included Bailey Boughen, Lovering, Jack Packer, Stoeckel and Howard. Best for the Roosters were Trad McMulkin, Zac Trethewey, Eli Kuchel, Jackson Lockett and Brodie Havelberg.
