Wisanger consolidated their spot in the top-two with a convincing 119-point win at Parndana during round eight action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) yesterday. The Panthers won every quarter on their way to a 20.17 (137) to 2.6 (18) victory. Wisanger had 10 different goalkickers with Nick Shurven leading the way with five goals, while Brok Viney-Obst kicked four goals. Best players for the Panthers included Timmy Turner, Liam Sampson, Viney-Obst, Nick Berry and Nick Shurven. The Roosters were best served by Eli Kuchel, Jesse Gaskin, Zach Trethewey, Bailey Mashford and Trad McMulkin.
Western Districts continued on their merry way in 2024 with a comfortable 122-point win against Dudley United at Penneshaw. Western Districts skipper Lleyton Hedges kicked 10 goals (42 for the season) as his side won 26.13 (139) to 7.5 (47). Joining Hedges in the best players for the Saints were Tim Larcombe, Sam Jonas, Dylan Lockett and Bradley Crabb. Clayton Willson kicked four goals for Dudley United, while the Eagles best were Keenan Jacobs, Trae Lovering, Rory Florance, Tait Florance and Ryan Stoeckel.
