Spring has started out cold and wet but the forecast is for improving weather as the school holidays progress.
There is plenty to do on the Fleurieu come rain or shine, including a full program of events at the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre; animated and live action kids films at Victa Cinema. and end of season action at the SA Whale Centre.
COVID-safe is the watchword for all and here are just some of the free activities families can enjoy on the Fleurieu over the next two weeks.
Tuesday 29 September
Dinosaurs in the Library
Goolwa Library, Cadell Street - 2pm to 2.45pm.
EG Incursions Life Long Ago take you back millions of years to discover the wonder of the dinosaurs. This incursion brings prehistoric life into the library. In large sandboxes, children will locate and identify fossils from some of the most iconic dinosaurs of the past. Learn where each dinosaur lived, where they came from, what they ate and much more.
Free event for Age: 4+ Children 10 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Flower Weaving - Art From Nature
Studio 20 Youth Centre, Cnr Pridham Blvd & Aldinga Beach Road.
Learn how to create mini sculptures and hanging artworks using collected branches, twigs, flowers and yarns with local artist Rebecca McEwan.

Be a Beach Detective
Snapper Point, Esplanade, Aldinga Beach – 10am to 11.30am.
As part of the 2020 SA Nature Festival, join the Green Adelaide Education team and learn about the animals, plants and other sea life that call our amazing coastline home and how to protect them.
This is a family event and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Bookings essential online.
Legomation workshop
Victor Harbor Library, Civic Centre, Bay Road – 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
GooRoo's Lego Animation workshop teaches kids how to create their very own "Brick Films". The participants will get a behind the scenes glimpse of what goes into producing animation on a professional level.

The first Australian version of the famous Vogalonga rowing event held annually in Venice.
