Schoolies Festival on this weekend

Several thousand teenagers will visit the south coast this weekend for the annual Schoolies Festival.


The festival entertainment will take place at Victor Harbor’s Warland Reserve from Friday to Sunday, 25-27 November.


The gates will open from 7pm to 2am and each night will have a theme: Friday is Op-Shop Formal; Saturday is The 80s; and Sunday is School Uniforms.


Encounter Youth’s Green Team volunteers will be out and about for the whole festival to support those attending the festival and help keep them safe.


Temporary road closures will apply during Schoolies Festival from Friday 25 to Monday 28 November, from 5pm to 6am daily:

  • Flinders Parade, Victor Harbor from Coral Street to Esplanade. 
  • Esplanade, Victor Harbor from Flinders Parade to King Street.
  • Albert Place, Victor Harbor from Esplanade to Crozier Road.
  • Railway Terrace, Victor Harbor from Albert Place to Coral Street.
  • Ocean Street, Victor Harbor from Coral Street to Albert Place.


Three Gullies Road, Encounter Bay will also be closed from Battye Road to Southern Right Crescent from 9am on 25 November to 8am on 28 November.


Exemptions have been granted for council vehicles, emergency services, and vehicles owned by the property owners and/or residents that live on the closed section of Three Gullies Road.


South Australian Police has approved 25kph speed restrictions to be implemented around the festival site.


The City of Victor Harbor will implement a series of temporary parking controls in conjunction with road closures.
