Kangaroo Island Council will have a rolling roster of acting Chief Executive Officers over the next few months, following the departure of CEO Greg Georgopoulos.

Director of Community Development Ian Hart took over the role from 13 July and will continue until 6 August.

Director of Works and. Infrastructure Jon Herron will act in the role from 7 August to 1 September.

Nicki Putland, Director Corporate Services, will then take over the position until the new permanent CEO takes up the appointment.

Mr Georgopoulos’ last day at Kangaroo Island Council was Wednesday 12 July, after five years in the role.

He resigned in May to take up the position of CEO at the Adelaide Hills Council.

Kangaroo Island Council has commissioned Perks People Solutions to recruit its new chief.
