Major Crash is investigating the circumstance surrounding a serious crash at Aldinga Beach last night.

Just after 9pm Saturday 30 October emergency services were called to the Esplanade after reports that a motorcycle hit a kerb and crashed.

The rider and sole occupant, a 35-year-old local man, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the Flinders Medical Centre where he remains.

The road was closed while investigators were at the scene but has since been reopened.
