Update 3.30pm:

A driver has been taken to hospital following a serious crash at Yankalilla today.

About 12.20pm on Thursday 13 May, police and emergency crews were called to the intersection of Inman Valley Road and Doctors Hill Road after a truck and Mazda sedan collided.

The driver of the Mazda, a 67-year-old man from Yankalilla has been airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition. The truck driver, a 49-year-old man from Modbury Heights was not injured but has been taken to hospital to be assessed.

A passenger in the Mazda, a 53-year-old man from Cape Jervis was treated at the scene for minor injuries while a passenger in the truck, a 31-year-old man from Evanston, was not injured.

The intersection was closed but has reopened to all traffic.
