Police are at the scene of a serious crash at Yundi, near Mount Compass, on the the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Nearby residents heard the crash just after 4.15am on Sunday 20 September and went outside to find a car had collided with a tree on Enterprise Road, Yundi.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was cut from the car by CFS crews and taken to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition.

Enterprise Road is closed to all traffic while Major Crash investigators examine the scene.
