An information session for people interested in becoming a State Emergency Service (SES) volunteer will be held on Kangaroo Island on Thursday 16 June.
The session is for anyone interested in joining the Kangaroo Island SES Unit, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm at Acacia Drive Kingscote.
It will include a short presentation and an opportunity to ask SES volunteers questions about their experience.
The aim is to provide knowledge and information to help anyone considering joining up decide if volunteering with the SES is for them.
It offers the chance to learn about how to help the community, meet new people and learn new skills.
SES volunteers wear orange proudly while supporting the community during storms, floods and heatwaves every day of the year.
Anyone aged over 18 is welcome to attend the information session. Those under 18 who are interested can visit the SES website to learn more about its Cadet Program.
SES values all skill levels and diversity, including but not limited to, age, gender, culture and ability.
Places at the session are limited so book via Eventbrite.
