There is another year to wait for the biennial 17th South Australian Wooden Boat Festival, to be held in April 2023. 

But boating enthusiasts can get a taste to keep them going at the Goolwa Classic Boat Regatta.

The regatta will be held at the Goolwa Wharf on Saturday 23 April from 2pm to 3.30pm.

The OscarW, Lotus and Brigand will join in a parade of sail of classic boats.

Big or small, sail or paddle, engine or oars, all boats are welcome and spectators can watch them from the wharf.

From 4pm a sausage sizzle will be available, thanks to Armfield at the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club.

At 4.30pm the SA Wooden Boat Festival committee will present a short talk on the Classic Boat Regatta and the 2023 South Australian Wooden Boat Festival.
