There will be Much Ado About Nothing in Willunga when Butterfly Theatre presents Shakespeare’s much-loved classic play on Saturday 22 January.
The action will take place at the Willunga Courthouse Reserve, with a large cast directed by Russell Slater.
Russell was founding Artistic Director for The Raw Shakespeare Project which produced upwards of 30 Shakespearean productions in the southern region.
He is currently a Youth Theatre Educator in Onkaparinga via Raw Drama which is dedicated to creating meaningful theatre opportunities for young and emerging artists.
The production will be enhanced by live musical performances from The Welkin Dance, featuring musicians Matthew Lykos and Jodie O’Regan.
Matthew and Jodie will perform a mixture of original compositions and arrangements of Shakespearean songs and traditional Elizabethan and folk music before the performance.
Gates/Doors open from 5.30pm with musical performance from 6pm; the show starts at 6.30pm, finishing at 8.30pm.
Picnic in the beautiful surrounds of the Willunga Courthouse Reserve with the National Trust Courthouse as the backdrop.
Take your own rugs, chairs, food and drink. There will be two sections allocated - one for those with rugs and low chairs to the front and one for those with deck chair styles.
To promote a Covid-safe environment for all proof of Double Vaccination Status will be required for all attendees.
