The last few years has seen an enormous growth in community food sharing, with the spread of the Fleurieu’s own Grow Free movement and community gardens flourishing.
The Aldinga Community Centre will host an information session on community food sharing tomorrow, Saturday 28 August.
It is aimed at people interested in joining a community food share group and finding out how to participate.
There will be free recipes, samples of local produce, seeds and seedlings to kickstart the process.
No bookings are required; turn up at 10am to enjoy a wander around the community garden and see what grows in winter.
The information session will be run by the Onkaparinga Community Food Collaborative.
