A free course and a support group for women who need to build self-confidence and assertiveness will start up in Onkaparinga this month.
The Shark Cage program will run in the south on Wednesday afternoons from 18 October to 6 December.
The free 8-week course aims build a strong sense of self and empowerment, through an understanding of human rights and healthy relationships.
It looks at the impact of trauma and provides skills and tools for self-care and resilience.

Women Do Survive support group will run on Thursday evenings from 26 October to 14 December.
It is open to women who feel they may be in an abusive or controlling relationship and need some help to navigate the situation.
The group offers a safe and confidential space to explore how to manage overwhelming emotions and develop strategies for personal safety.
Supported by Centacare, Anglicare SA and Relationships Australia, it is free to register by calling 8215 6310.
The exact locations for both the Shark Cage for Women course and the Women Do Survive group will be supplied at registration.
