Rebekha Sharkie looks to have increased her majority and comfortably retained the seat of Mayo in today’s Federal Election.

The AEC website is currently projecting a 7.33 per cent swing to Sharkie, after the distribution of preferences.

This is with 65 per cent of the vote counted (at 9pm).

Nationally it seems likely that the ALP will win enough seats to form government.
