Woodworkers safely evacuated a shed being used as a workshop on Milnes Road, Strathalbyn after the dust extractor inside the structure caught alight yesterday, Tuesday 21 November. 

Five CFS crews contained the blaze, which extended to the rest of the shed, in under an hour. 

Firefighters were able to gain access inside the shed and used internal attack methods of containment. 

The total estimated damage cost was $70,000. 

SA Ambulance Service was in support on scene, but no injuries have been reported.

The fire is not considered to be suspicious and fire investigators have been advised.
