Noarlunga are through to the second semi-final of the Southern Football League (SFL) after an excellent 20-point win against reigning premier Reynella in the qualifying final at Port Noarlunga on Saturday. The Shoes started on fire to lead by 24 points at quarter time after kicking 4.6 to 1.0 in the first term. The game was pretty even after that with Noarlunga running out winners 11.11 (77) to 8.9 (57). Nick Mott, in just his seventh game of the season, was best-on-ground and he was well supported by Jake Anderson, Jaidan Kappler (4 goals), Josh Beard, Bailey Hann and Nick Robertson. Best players for Reynella included Tyler Davies, Jason Farrier, Daniel Whitaker, Marc Borholm, Lachlan McGuinness and Jack Ball.
Morphett Vale won their seventh final in the past three seasons after outlasting Happy Valley by 11 points in the elimination final at Aldinga on Sunday. Happy Valley led by three points at the last change, before the Emus kicked three goals to one in the last quarter to win 9.10 (64) to 7.11 (53). Blake Carter was a star up forward for the Emus with five goals, while Liam Hamilton and Harry Davenport kicked two goals each for the Vikings. Best players for Morphett Vale included Brian Gill, Dylan Miller, Carter, Connor Gilby and Daniel Noble. Happy Valley were best served by Dwayne Ruddock, Caleb Hooper, Harry Vick, Scott Rademacher and Davenport.
