Noarlunga are through to their third Southern Football League (SFL) Grand Final in five years after a 28-point win against Reynella in the preliminary final at Old Noarlunga yesterday. The win sets up another clash with the undefeated Flagstaff Hill in the Grand Final. Yesterday’s win was set up by an excellent second quarter where Noarlunga kicked five goals to one to lead by 36 points at halftime. The Shoes looked like they were going to run away with the game in the third term, before Reynella hit back with late goals to cut the margin to 29 points at three quarter time. Early goals to Reynella in the final stanza caused some concern for the home fans, but the Shoes steadied to win 14.8 (92) to 9.10 (64). Matt Eagles (5), Luke Ross (3) and Sam Beard (2) were the multiple goalkickers for Noarlunga, while Marc Borholm kicked four goals for the Wine Flies.
