The Royal Adelaide Show is done and dusted, the school holidays are near and it’s showtime on the Fleurieu.

Animal shows, fun fairs, art and photography exhibitions, cooking and craftwork, there is something for everyone at the three special events that showcase the best of the region.

As ever first cab off the rank is the Yankalilla, Rapid Bay & Myponga Show, this year on Saturday 30 September. 

The fun will be at the Yankalilla Showgrounds from 9am to 5pm. Entry is $10 for adults, $5 for pensioners and children aged 5 to 15.

Strathalbyn Show celebrates its 150th anniversary on the public holiday Monday 2 October. 

Open from 10am to 5pm; entry costs $15 for adults, $10 for pensioners and children aged 5 to 14.

The following weekend, 7 and 8 October, sees the 143rd Port Elliot Show at the Tottenham Court Road showgrounds.

The action takes place from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.

Entry costs $15 for adults, $10 concession and children aged 6 to 16.
