Zest Theatre Group will present Shrek the Musical at the Victor Harbor Town Hall in Coral Street from 29 January.

“Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. 

Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek.

The hilarious fairy tale sees curses reversed, monsters get the girls, and donkeys and dragons find love. 

It proves that princesses are beautiful in all shapes and sizes in a show that is a lot of fun and features some amazing local talent.

Performances will be on Friday 29 January and 5 February, Saturday 30 January and 6 February, all at 7.30pm, and Sunday 31 January and 7 February at 2pm.
