The South Australian Office for Small and Family Business will offer free workshops on small business sustainability next week in Victor Harbor and Kingscote.
It says with net zero regulations affecting the supply chain decisions of industry, combined with the increasing importance of sustainability for consumers, it is crucial that small businesses act now to adapt, grow and succeed in a net zero carbon future.
These specialised workshops are for small businesses seeking to increase their knowledge of environmental sustainability, understand its relationship to their business, and to build their capability in adopting sustainable practices and reducing emissions.

Following the workshops, participants will also have the opportunity for a 1-1 consultation to review their business’ specific technologies and how these operate within the context of their business environment.
They are open to South Australian small business owners with less than 20 full time equivalent employees, or family-owned businesses of any size, which have not participated in any other South Australian Government programs focusing on environmental, net zero, circular economy and other sustainable business practices.
The Fleurieu workshop will be held at Business Victor Harbor on Thursday 13 March from 9am to 11.30am.
The Kingscote workshop will be held at the Kangaroo Island Business Hub on Friday 14 March from 9am to 11.30am.
