Small business support on the Fleurieu

The office of the Small Business Commissioner will bring its Gov to You program to the Fleurieu at the end of August.

With events in McLaren Vale, Victor Harbor and Goolwa, the program aims to support small businesses through networking, education and practical support.

The first event - Business Banter, Beers and Bubbles – is at the McLaren Vale Visitor Information Centre on Wednesday 30 August at 5.30pm to 7pm.

It will be an informal evening to celebrate small business over drinks and nibbles, with guest speakers, at no charge.

A ticketed business breakfast will be held at Mum’s Beard Café, in Victor Harbor, on Thursday 31 August from 7.30am to 9am.

Where’s your head at? will look at mental health in the workplace for small business operators and their staff. Tickets cost $30.

Later that day, Goolwa’s Centenary Hall will host a free Meet the Services + Services Speed Dating event from 11am to 6pm.

This will provide direct access to representatives and information from a range of government agencies useful to small business.

Short workshops will be offered on exporting, commercial leases and finding sources of funding.

There will also be an opportunity to book a 15‐minute face‐to‐face consultation with specific agencies for personalised assistance.

More information on the Gov to You program can be found the Small Business Commissioner’s website.

Register to attend these events via Eventbrite.
