South coast councils tackle future growth

Alexandrina Council will hold an additional Ordinary Council Meeting on Thursday 26 February 2 at 5.30pm at the Goolwa council. chamber

This meeting aims to progress the South Coast Growth Strategy, which  outlines the progression of future development in Goolwa, Hindmarsh Island, Middleton and Port Elliot.

The council says that given the keen interest in the strategy, space for the gallery will be expanded and it will take steps to enhance amplification of audio from the main chamber.

For those who can’t attend the meeting, an audio recording will be published on the council website after the meeting.

Access the draft strategy online and find the full meeting agenda on the council website.

Meanwhile the City of Victor Harbor is urging people to comment on its South Coast Future Ready Strategy

It is designed to guide future decisions and actions on housing, jobs, education, services and liveability.

Long-term and new residents, business owners, young people and retirees are asked to have a say by completing a survey on the strategy.

Those who complete the survey can go in the draw to win a Visa gift card. It closes at 5pm on Friday 27 February; find it on the council website.
