The Schoolies Operation Working Group will meet tomorrow, Wednesday 1 November in the lead up to this year’s end of schooldays festival.

The event will be held in Victor Harbor from 17 to 19 November and several thousand school leavers are expected to visit the south coast to celebrate.

Encounter Youth and its Green Team of volunteers have managed the festival since 1999, with the aim of supporting young people and keeping the community safe.

A post-event debrief meeting will be held on Wednesday 29 November.

The Working Group meetings provide a forum for those involved in and affected by the event to raise and address event related issues and facilitate community collaboration.

This includes local businesses, caravan parks, South Australian Police, Victor Harbor Hospital, SA Ambulance, St Johns, the council and people in the community.

The meetings will be held at the Victor Harbor Visitor Centre, on Railway Terrace, at 2pm.
