Southern Breakers Under 13 Girls are on a roll!

Southern Breakers Soccer Club (SBSC) Girls travelled away again to West Lakes Shore to take on Adelaide Jaguars. The girls played extremely well for the entire game with constant pressure and forward movement two of the key features of their game. SBSC started the first half with two excellent goals from forward Kayte O'Donnell. Nila Mohring set Kayte up well with a clean cross for the first goal. The second goal came from a fast and efficient midfield run and Kayte played the ball through to score. The girls also had plenty of other shots on goal, especially from corners.

The second half was a very tight contest with midfielders Lucy Boundey and Abbie Ellis winning plenty of ball and pushing up forward while Taylor Perry, Allara Ramasawmy and Nula Davis put pressure on their opponents. The girls had several other shots on goal that didn't quite hit the target. A strong feature of the second half was the tough backline led by Amber Kim and Hannah Rowlands with Lokke Rennerts and Bethany North also supporting well in defence. Notable mention to our goal keeper Ella Keam who kept a clean sheet with some brilliant saves. She also set up an almost perfect play by kicking out to forward Kayte O'Donnell who was able to hit fellow forward Nila Mohring in front of goal who unfortunately just missed.

All girls played extremely well and were lifted by our smallest player Zara Yates who won some really tough contests on the wing as the SBSC under 13 girls notched their second win in succession.

Final Score: Southern Breakers 2 defeated Adelaide Jaguars 0

The next game is at Breakers Park, Port Elliot (11.00am KO) on Sunday 2 May against one of South Australia’s biggest Soccer clubs in Adelaide City.
