The 2022 Southern Surf Festival will be held at Middleton Point next weekend, from Friday 29 April to Sunday 1 May.

The three-day celebration of South Australian surfing and surf competition will feature more than 200 competitors vying for State Championship status.

Events include shortboard, longboard and kneeboard surfing, along with an inter club twin-fin and single-fin event. 

The festival is expected to attract thousands of visitors and attendees, who will enjoy music, food trucks, local wine, beer and much more. 

Extreme Boardriders will host a surf demo day as part of the festival; the day and time will be dependent on conditions.

Their best surf techs will be there, ready to answer all questions and point aspiring surfers in the right direction, with a good variety of boards for every level.

The family-friendly festival will demonstrate all aspects of the state’s unique and inclusive surf culture. 

From board swaps to surf art there will be something for everybody, no matter how actively involved in the sport.

For those wanting to give surfing a go for the first time, a range of surf schools will operate on the Sunday.
