International advocate for mental health and suicide prevention Nic Newling will speak in Mount Compass on Wednesday 10 March.
Nic suffered a mood disorder during high school and lost his brother to suicide.
He has since dedicated himself to changing the way mental illness is addressed in schools, workplaces and communities.
An outspoken advocate for mental health, suicide prevention, and sharing personal stories, Nic has reached millions of people through television, live talks, documentaries, radio, print and online.
He believes that, 'Together we can all move forward when we talk, listen, share and grow'.
Nic will speak at the Mount Compass Area School during the day and will offer an evening session to the community at the Mount Compass Community Sports and Social Club.
This free event has been facilitated by Southcoast Suicide Prevention Team, Alexandrina Council, Anglicare, Headspace, Standby SA and Mount Compass Area School.
