A speeding driver was also over the blood alcohol limit at Aldinga Beach on Friday night, 8 September.

Police detected the speeder about 11.40pm on Friday 8 September on Quinliven Road, Aldinga Beach travelling at 91 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

The driver, a 25-year-old New South Wales man, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.174, more than three times over the legal limit.

He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and had his vehicle impounded for 28 days.

He was reported for speeding and drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
