A man has lost his licence and received a hefty fine for speeding in Wellington.

Just after 1.30pm on Monday 4 October, police were conducting radar duties on Langhorne Creek Road at Wellington when they detected a car travelling 55km/h over the speed limit.

The Holden station wagon was caught travelling at 155km/h on the 100km/h signed road.

The driver, a 57-year-old man from Moana, was issued a six month immediate loss of licence and a traffic infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit, totalling $1814.
