South coast residents have the opportunity to get involved in protecting local threatened species with a beach-nesting birds information session on Saturday 23 September.
Find out about Hooded Plovers and other beach-nesting birds, why they are at risk and how to help keep them safe.
Held at the Victor Harbor visitor centre, the session will run from 10am to 12noon and will be followed by a short beach walk.
Morning tea will be included and participants should take drinking water and dress for the weather. RSVP via email.
The beach-nesting bird project is coordinated by Green Adelaide, Birdlife Australia and the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board, with support from local councils and volunteers.
