The final list of candidates in the March 19 State Election and their positions on the ballot paper have been determined.

The three electorates which include the Fleurieu are Mawson, Hammond and Finniss. 

Hammond and Finniss are currently held by members of the Liberal Party and Mawson is held by a Labor MP.

The boundaries of Hammond and Finniss changed considerably in a 2020 electorate redistribution.

Strathalbyn moved from Heysen into Hammond and Clayton Bay, Milang and Point Stuart moved into Finniss.

The redistribution of voters also saw the electorate of Hammond gain Maslin Beach.

Finniss includes the towns of Back Valley, Chiton, Clayton Bay, Currency Creek, Encounter Bay, Finniss, Goolwa, Goolwa Beach, Goolwa North, Goolwa South, Hayborough, Hindmarsh Island, Hindmarsh Tiers, Hindmarsh Valley, Lower Inman Valley, McCracken, Middleton, Milang, Mosquito Hill, Mount Compass, Mount Jagged, Mount Observation, Mundoo Island, Nurragi, Nangkita, Point Sturt, Port Elliot, Sandergrove, Tooperang, and Victor Harbor. It also includes part of Inman Valley, Lake Alexandrina and Waitpinga.

Mawson incorporates Kangaroo Island and portions of Alexandrina Council, the City of Onkaparinga and the District Council of Yankalilla. It includes, among others, the localities of Cape Jervis, Kingscote, McLaren Vale, Port Willunga, Sellicks Beach, Willunga and Yankalilla.

Hammond incorporates the Rural City of Murray Bridge, well as parts of Alexandrina, Mount Barker District and Mid Murray councils. Notable localities include Mannum, Langhorne Creek, Strathalbyn, Wellington and Callington.
