Survey work started yesterday on Alexandrina council’s Ashbourne Stormwater Mitigation project.

The council has committed funds in its 2023-2024 Budget towards improving stormwater management in Ashbourne with the aim of reducing potential flood impacts to residents.

Civil surveying contractors from Andrew & Associates will conduct a detailed survey in the Ashbourne and Bull Creek areas this week, finishing on Friday 10 November.

The contractors will be collecting geographic information and land levels for contour maps as well as identifying trees, fence lines, buildings, and underground services necessary for designing pipework and stormwater systems. 

Traffic conditions won’t change but the surveyors will be visible along sections of Bull Creek Road, Kirkham Road, Christina Street, and parts of Bull Creek.
